Due to the recent Consulate strike by the employees, additional delays may occcur.

Please send the following:

  1. Valid and signed U.S. Passport. Your passport must have a minimum of 6 months validity from expiration date.
  2. One (1) visa application form. Application must be completed on line 
  3. Two (2) passport quality photos. Must be 2" x 2" and in color.
  4. Copy of recent bank statement in your name that indicates sufficient funds for travel. (not for Houston Jurisdiction)
  5. Copy of your airline ticket, travel agent itinerary or e-ticket confirmation.
  6. Clear Photocopy of your Driver's License. (Notarized for Houston Jurisdiction only)
  7. For business visa applicants (visa type "Temp II"), in addition to items 1 to 6 above, you must include a business letter on your letterhead, signed by an officer of your company, stating the following information:

         Name of traveler (The name in the passport)

         Exact dates of travel

         Contact name, address and phone number of the inviting individual/organization in Brazil

         Purpose of business visit to Brazil - letter must state "for meetings and discussions only and no technical work involved."

         Financial guarantee of traveler's expenses to and from Brazil

         Letter must be NOTARIZED ( for Houston Jurisdiction only)

8. For Business visa applicants - a letter on invitation from your host/sponsor in Brazil written in Portugese. (for other jurisdiction except Houston)

9. For Minors traveling with a guardian or 1 parent, please provide the following:

      Birth Certificate (Must be certified copy OR a Notarized copy)

​​      Copy of each parent’s passport vital page (If they have a passport)

​      Copy of each parent’s ID (i.e. Driver’s license or State issued ID)

​      Signed and notarized authorization letter (2)

      Rush processing is not available for minors

*The visa officer reserves the right to grant visas between 90 days to10 years. The consulate has a jurisdictional policy with issuance of any visa. Please call us prior to sending your documents if you are unsure of your consular jurisdiction.
*Non-U.S. passport must send a copy of green card or valid U.S. Visa. (Notarized for Houston Jurisdiction only)
*Fees and processing times for non-U.S. passport holders may vary from the published fees above.
